Terms of use
This is a draft for review. It is not yet in force and needs legal review before Boss opens to anyone outside the team.
These terms are between you and [LEGAL ENTITY] (Capisso), the provider of Boss. We have tried to keep them short and readable.
The service
Boss lets you capture notes, voice notes, emails, links, photos and files into a business or project, files them, and lets the people you invite search them from the web, the apps, and Claude or ChatGPT.
Boss is being built. During the invitation period features will change, some will arrive later than others, and there may be interruptions. We will tell you about changes that affect how you use it.
Accounts and invitations
- Boss is available by invitation only. An invitation is for the email address it was sent to.
- Keep your email account and devices secure. Anyone who can read your email can request a sign-in code.
- Tell us straight away at privacy@capissoboss.com if you think someone else has used your account.
Workspaces, businesses and owners
- A workspace can have more than one owner. Any owner can invite and remove members, change settings, and delete a business or the workspace.
- A deleted business or workspace can be restored by any owner for 30 days. After that it is gone for good.
- How owners share control among themselves is a matter for them. We follow the instructions of any owner.
Your content
What you capture belongs to you, or to the workspace you captured it into. You give us permission to store, copy and process it only so we can provide Boss to you and the people you share it with. That permission ends when the content is deleted, apart from copies in backups that expire on their normal schedule.
You are responsible for having the right to capture what you send in, including emails and recordings that involve other people. If you record a conversation, make sure the people in it know.
Fair use
Do not use Boss to break the law, to store material you have no right to hold, to try to reach data in someone else’s workspace, to overload or probe the service, or to send us malicious files. Each workspace has a monthly processing budget; when it is reached, captures are still saved and wait to be filed.
Connections to Claude and ChatGPT
If you connect Boss to Claude or ChatGPT, your use of those services is under your agreement with their providers. You choose which businesses a connection can see, and you can remove it in Boss at any time.
Fees
Boss is free during the invitation period. If that changes, we will tell you in advance and nothing will be charged without your agreement.
Ending
You can stop using Boss and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and will tell you why unless the law prevents it. Before we close a workspace for any other reason, we will give its owners notice and time to export their content.
Responsibility
We take care to keep Boss working and your content safe, but during the invitation period it is provided as it is, without guarantees of availability. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose. [LIMITATION OF LIABILITY TO BE DRAFTED WITH LEGAL ADVICE]
